Meet French Designer Anaïs

Unisex clothing shouldn’t be only women wearing masculine pieces or men wearing feminine garments. It should be a perfect balance that let rooms for each of us to express our identity with comfort. Aemcy is working to find that perfect balance, we decided to call it “sophisticated comfort”.

Paris-based designer Anaïs launched AEMCY Paris, a high-end unisex fashion brand founded on three principles: sharing, ethics, and sustainability. After studying at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts in London, Anaïs went on to create a gender-neutral brand inspired by her personal style and need for comfort.
Beginning in July 2019, AEMCY had grown to being recognized within the local Parisian fashion sphere. Although Anaïs focuses on comfort, she gives special attention to detail as a way to maintain quality.
As a French-based brand, AEMCY works with Parisian suppliers and manufacturers as a way to “maintain a communicative bond with the works who allow us to bring our ideas to life.”
A recent pop-up store hosted by the young designer highlighted AEMCY’s mission and place within the fashion community. Between December 3rd and 5th, various art-lovers attended, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere among neon lights and music. Anaïs’ new pieces, inspired by the “pancho aesthetic” in Mexico, also caught the eye of buyers and stylists, who visited over the weekend.
Anais says, “As the very first event of AEMCY this was a huge success for me because I really wanted to connect with my customers and make people connect together. I think we did the job and manage to introduce people to the AEMCY Culture that is just goodwill, and fun.”
Anaïs has been recognized as POPOUT’s highlighted artist for December 2021 because of her hard work with AEMCY’s promotion and mission. Her relaxed yet chic pieces are synonymous with a prolonged era of life from home, yet, AEMCY’s pop-up shop is reminiscent of the easing of the pandemic. This re-entry into social spheres imitates a promising future for the brand and Anaïs’ art.
