Meet Charis

Charis Marshall is a contemporary artist currently based in Daegu, South Korea.

What was the highlight of the Year?

My son was legit a highlight.

  • This series is called Tea Abstracts. I am basically drinking tea and trying to interpret my experience through art. I wanted to pair the paintings with videos that could soothe the soul. I’m most proud of these paintings because I juggled taking care of my son and nurturing my creative spirit at the same time!

    Since COVID, I had to stop going to tea houses 😔; this project brought me back to my love for tea. I still don’t know how I found the time to create. I don’t know why they turned out so beautiful.

    I’m proud and amazed!

    I also loved that my son would stare at my abstracts and smile! Made me feel happy. This series is still going in which you can check out my insta or tiktok (bo.gus).

  • Looking forward to dancing and finger painting with my little human. I’m hoping to share my love for art. I want to make more pieces and expand this are series.
