future me? is unLYSHed.

Written by Alyssia McCloud

at this point, “pandemic” could easily be defined for me as the outside force responsible for triggering the internal human eruption of all plans, ideas, and means of security. daily, molten lava traipses down the sides of my psyche, and smothers my plate of dreams, leaving its contents charred beyond recognition. changes in career, potential for relationship, and aspirations to move to another city - goodies i haven’t yet gotten to taste, all seemingly lost to ..uncertainty.

in the past, i have been one guilty of thinking that the reigns meant to guide my life are in my hands; my present has consisted of learning with humility and without breaking down to a state of delirium that not only is this not the case, but that there is still a joy in the world to be experienced despite the circumstances.

but who - is future me? when the pandemic’s damage is done.. and the liquid fire has cooled, calmed and taken the shape of a memory - what version of self will raise its head to embrace the restored state of the future world?

i believe that future circumstances will always be uncertain - but i also believe that present me has the capacity to plant a harvest for future me to reap.  when i see her - i see her reaping healing. love. wholeness. confidence. happiness. worthiness.

& peace.

future me is becoming in present me. and present me is committing to allowing her heart to speak, touching others without touching in the release of the sunflower project

and paving the way for future me to truly exist as restored, renewed, content - and freed.

future me? is unLYSHed.
